Before landscape transformation

Before Construction Landscape’s landscape transformation

Our Melbourne Beach client had successfully accomplished adding texture to the existing landscape, but there was a challenge with the balance of texture. The existing landscape was lacking a balance within the layers of the plant material used. The right side of the landscape was overbearing and stealing the attention from the rest of the front yard landscape. This caused the structure of the house and its’ unique architectural characteristics to be washed out in the background. This was a primary focus point for Construction Landscape‘s custom landscape design. The client decided to change the color of the exterior paint on the house prior to landscape installation. The color choice was excellent!

Our client chose to change paint color on their home before landscape installation

After our landscape designer performed the initial design consultation, took measurements, and became familiar with our clients likes and dislikes, the custom Melbourne Beach landscape design was underway! Here are a few key points the the design focused on:

-The planting bed within the space nearest to the road was extended. The strip of grass in the existing planting would be of greater aesthetic value if it was transferred into the larger planting bed. This capitalized on giving the depth of the area more quality and quantity with plant material rather than sod.

-One of the large existing palm trees were removed from the central bed, as well. Prior to removal, the protrusion of the off-center palms were distracting and compromising the flow of the landscape design.

-Being that this was a custom Melbourne Beach landscape design transformation, a primary objective was to bring in tropical plant material with a more gentle and delicate presence. The chosen plant material will continue to better suit the space, even after maturity. The layers will compliment one another with their varied growth schedules. This is key when choosing plant material for proposed beds.

-The Melbourne Beach landscape design color palette was shifted from dark and bold to light and illuminating. This color palette is more appropriate to reflect the beauty of the house and property, rather than disrupt it.

-The landscape design was structured to use more accent materials, such as the Royal Robe tree, Apostle Iris’, and Bougainvillea. Ground covers were added to the landscape to create another tropical layer of plant material. Also, when choosing ground covers and fillers, our landscape designer went with softer and airier materials. This Melbourne Beach landscape design featured Purple Ice and Gold Mounds. The pre-existing material that was placed in the front yard landscape better suited buffers for the rear of the property or side yards.

We like to complete our projects by having everything in order for our clients. As a landscaping contractor, we understand that most people are unaware of all the facets that make up a successful project completion. For instance, here are some commonly overlooked aspects of landscape design: volume taken up by plant material, surplus volume after continual growth overtime, measurements for brick pavers and standard sizes of paver walkways, water features, how water features are powered and ran, landscape lighting, and definitely most importantly- the process and standards of your HOA before, during, and after your Melbourne landscaping.

Construction Landscape, LLC took on this complex landscaping project in Melbourne, FL. It was complex because our clients didn’t want to spare any opportunity for utilizing beautiful landscape design, despite the challenge of landscaping smaller spaces. From top to bottom, from layer to layer, our landscape designer creatively utilized as much space as possible, while maintaining functionality within the outdoor living space. Our landscape designer touched on many techniques to optimize the value of this Melbourne landscaping, that is one of the benefits of having all the capabilities of a landscaping contractor. Here are a few examples of how our landscape designer worked her landscaping contractor magic:

Brick Paver Pathways

Using shape and form, like in this instance a curvature within the form, our designer was able to open up the space a bit with a brick paver pathway. The texture, color, and shape of the brick paver pathway contribute volumes of character within the space. Our landscape designer includes the measurements, placement, etc.. in her design, then acts as a landscaping contractor to ensure the brick paver pathway is laid properly.

The Perfect Time to Start Your Landscaping Project

September is a perfect time to begin your landscaping project. This is the time where our plants will be under the least amount of stress. This is great for new plantings, because they need some time to relax into their new home and settle their roots. Just like us, plants need to get comfortable within their environment. September is the perfect time to plant your landscape, mostly because the temperatures have cooled off, but haven’t reached the chill yet.

Bouganvillea:

Beautiful blooming bougainvillea require strategic planting to optimize their growth and blooming factor. September is the perfect time to plant any landscape design that includes these immaculate plant specimen. The weather plays an important role in allowing their design intension, such as crawling a wall, etc., to take form.

Royal Robe tree:

Solanum Rantonettii is a stunning, blooming tree that wears as sheik and fashionable or majestic and classic in any garden, regardless of garden style. September allows the Royal Robe tree to solidify its’ roots, while it brightens the garden with color. If the Royal Robe tree is set during the perfect time to plant, expect full bloom potential. With a care and attention, this blossoming tree can keep a perfect lollipop shape, as well.

Bromeliads:

For our low maintenance gardeners, bromeliads are a priority. Especially comforting, is their care instructions to offset during the months that grass-mowing is still a consistent chore… Most species of bromeliads do not require any trimming or pruning regime. They just sit there and look pretty! Bromeliads are a must for the perfect time to plant! Give yourself a break.

Many people think, Hey, many people think they cannot afford a landscaping company. They think it sounds very expensive.  It is true that anyone can do their own landscaping, but here are a few advantages of hiring a landscape company:

Know your plants.

A smart landscape is a low maintenance landscape. Many people just go on aesthetics, when choosing their landscape design. By having a landscape professional and landscape company at your disposal, your landscape design will have flowers that “go together and grow together.” If plants that have mismatched growth schedules are coupled or clustered together, it can be the cause of a miserable amount of pruning plants at different times. Translation: You must REALLY like weeding. From years of implementation, Construction Landscape has taken into careful consideration the different species of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers that compliment each other well. Look at your garden and landscape like it is a beautiful orchestra. An orchestra that needs a conductor. And, why, yes… Construction Landscape, LLC is its’ conductor.

Proper groupings of plants allows for low maintenance landscaping.

Know your space.

A broader scope of knowledge and capabilities for landscaping small spaces can be a huge benefit in hiring a landscape company. Construction Landscape, LLC is blessed with a landscape designer that has the kind of eyes that most of us don’t have. She can see lines where there are no lines, curves where there are only edges, and height and layers where there is flat ground. This may not seem to magnificent, but her creativity installs plant walls, trees, architecture, and style to otherwise hopeless spaces. And, why, yes… You can call her, “The Space Whisperer.”

Distinguishing brick paver walkway adorned with delicate plant material to accent small space

And, last, but not least. Rather most importantly…

Know you’re safe.

Construction Landscape, LLC takes pride in its’ work ethics just as much as its’ finished product. From start to finish, Construction Landscape is on top of every detail, dimension, and design. We have built a strong team of professionals to ensure we get the job done RIGHT. Starting with administration, we make sure we are the right fit for you from the get-go, we keep a main-line on Grade A plant and tree material to serve our clients with only the best product, and we always have someone readily available to assist in fulfilling your landscaping needs. Then our professional landscape designer makes a site-visitation to assess your space and get a hands-on understanding of your landscaping goals. After the consultation process, we use 3-d digitally enhanced software as a tool for our clients to better envision their proposed landscape design. Unfortunately, we do not sell our designs on their own volition. We like to make sure they are properly installed and implemented. For installation, we also have a dedicated crew that helps bring the design to life, like pen to paper, but even better. Our landscape installation team is a great machine on their own, but we always have the foreman and project manager on-site. We form great foundations for our landscaping projects to be built on. Then it is up to you to allow your landscape to flourish. Thats is why, after installation, our landscape designer goes through the whole installation process with you to ensure you have a full understanding of your new landscape and its’ requirements. The walkthrough is complete with care and fertilization schedules to equip you with the tools to take care of your new landscape. Although we do not do maintenance at this time, we have hand-selected a small grouping of lawn maintenance and sprinkler system professionals to entrust our installations that we would be more than happy to make a referral.

Qualified professional installation team that works together to get the job done right.

When hiring a landscape company, consider all your options. Then when selecting your final landscape company, sift through resumes, reviews, photos, and anything else you can get your hands on. Your landscaping project is an important project. This outdoor space will be part of your living environment. Make sure the job gets done right. Construction Landscape of Vero Beach and Melbourne, FL is willing to go the extra mile for our clients because we know how important your landscape design and installation is to you. It is important to us, too! If you are considering hiring a landscape company, call Construction Landscape, LLC today at (772) 492-8382 for your complimentary consultation. Sit back and relax. Let us create something marvelous for you! At Construction Landscape, we love what we do!

Plants that are so Low Maintenance, You Hardly Have to Water!

What is the Number 1 reason that people don’t give any thought to or neglect their landscape? They do not want to have to take care of it or they do not know how! This makes perfect sense. Many people are afraid of the unknown. Many people have also been misinformed. We are here to set the record straight! Although some landscape designs are complex and need lots of attention, there is a landscape design waiting for you at the other end of the spectrum! Mind you, all transplanted plant material needs water to settle into its’ new domain, here are a few examples plants that you hardly have to water:

Bromeliad: Bromeliads are very convenient, non-evasive plants that have such versatility, due to their wide range of colors and shape. You can’t go wrong when looking for an attention-getting lower layer for your low maintenance landscape design.

Bromeliad cluster

Desert Rose: The Desert Rose is a gentle and delicate-looking shot of color among the subtle presences of other low maintenance species. These plants soften any rigid or masculine tones that your low maintenance landscape may come up against. The Desert Rose is a diamond in the ruff.

Desert Rose blooms

Bougainvillea: Bouganvillea are breathe-taking plants. They radiate within any landscape. They have hanging votes with full and colorful blooms. Since they can grow to be very full and very tall, so some landscape designers like to use them as colorful hedges, but this does require lots of maintenance. In order to avoid maintenance, Bouganvillea can be used as full buffers to ensure proper space for their natural growth.

Aspidistra: Aspidistra are very bold plants that grow upwards in clusters of wide blades of dark green. They make for great center-line accents in front of trees or shrubs. Aspidistra do require placement in the shade, so it is vital to keep that in my when creating your garden design for your landscape project.

Aspidistra

Desert Cassia: The Cassia tree is a full, lollipop-shaped tree with yellow flowers when in bloom. The Cassia tree is great addition to all of your plant material in a low maintenance landscape. They make exquisite accents for butterfly gardens, but add height into layers of any garden. Its’ salt and drought tolerance make it a favorite among the Florida-friendly bloomers.

Construction Landscape’s Annual Progress of Past Landscape Design and Installation in Vero Beach, FL

The sun rises and sets, seasons come and go, and time marches on… When a landscape designer surveys an area to get a full understanding of the range of possibilities, there is more to it than some may take into account at face value. Besides trying to coordinate needs with wants, a landscape designer needs to take into account plant growth and expansion. During installation, many landscape designs will initially install the less mature option of plant material to meet budget costs. So some plant material just exceeds in height, some expansion includes width, all depending on the plant or tree material. This needs to be taken into full consideration to avid plant overgrowth and client satisfaction. Construction Landscape of Vero Beach and Melbourne, FL is proud to declare that our landscape designer, Jennifer Bevins, never fails to take such precautions with each and every landscape design and installation.

Recently, Construction Landscape was contacted by one of clients for Phase III of their original landscape design and installation. Phase III needs its’ own consultation, regardless of previous intentions, due to issues of growth and weather, to insure that the same plans made a time ago can still be carried out successfully. When our landscape designer made her site visitation, the assessment pictures were taken. Almost a year to the day, from the original Phase I landscape design and installation, the pictures were proof of the amazing landscape transformation success.

Landscape design and installation in Vero Beach, FL is a big decision. Trust the professionals with the proven track record. Construction Landscape of Vero Beach and Melbourne, FL follows through with their projects, not just from conception to landscape design and installation, but for extended periods of time following to admire the growth and beauty in the maturity of the plant and tree material. Call Construction Landscape today at (772)492-8382. Entrust your upcoming landscape project to the professionals who take pride in their work. At Construction Landscape, we love what we do!

The post Annual progress of past landscape design and installation in Vero Beach, FL appeared first on Construction Landscape.

Our recent landscape design and installation project consisted of tropical tones and re-facing for a beautiful property in an upscale country club community, Bent Pine Golf Club. This spacious property had optimum potential for the entire property landscaping, but our first phase of landscaping was primarily focused on the front yard landscape, curb appeal, and landscape design to compliment this palm tree installation in Vero Beach, FL.

This project was a vast reconstruction of this homes’ curb appeal. Curb appeal is really the first impression that neighbors and guests get of your home or business. Due to the size of the home and location, our landscape designer found that a front entranceway palm tree installation could set the tropical tone as aesthetic structural accents. Our landscape designer found that the height and posture of the Royal Palm tree to be the best fit for this Bent Pine landscape design. Due to the location of where the trees were to be planted, Construction Landscape needed to call in the troops! We needed a crane to carry the 18ft trees from trailer bed to permanent home.

LANDSCAPING FOR SMALLER SPACES

Jensen Beach, FL

The Treasure Coast of Florida is home to many residents that are fortunate to live within Florida‘s sunny and tropical climate. Then there are a selection of residents that are even more fortunate to live on waterfront property. Construction Landscape‘s most recent project took place at one of these such residences. It was not your average landscape project. Immediately, our clients were recognized as non-conventional and non-conforming. The waterfront property was within a mobile home park. Our clients had opted to build a home, instead of continuing to live in a mobile home. The home turned out to be substantially larger than would be expected, and definitely needed a tropical landscaping to compliment it’s awing presence. The only problem being that there wasn’t much room to work with, so this project called for a masterful landscape design that really focused on strategic landscaping for smaller spaces.

Waterfront property, beautiful location, great potential for landscape to bring the whole area together

Small space within area to be landscaped with challenging, yet able dimensions

The landscape design encompassed many proven solutions for successful landscaping for smaller spaces.  A few examples of this included erecting privacy screening made up of tropical plant material, creating more space by utilizing landscape design tools like lattice fencing, and developing layered planting beds with defined focal points to attract the focus of viewers and distract from the size of the area its’ self.

When landscaping for smaller spaces, it is key to focus on the main attributes that are most important to include in the landscape design. Also, when landscaping for smaller spaces, quality always reigns supreme over quantity.  Construction Landscape of Vero Beach was delighted with the outcome of this unique landscape project. Time after time, we are approached with the dilemma of frustration over lack of space for landscaping.
